Onn Kee Claypot Seafood Porridge Restaurant

Looking for smooth Hong Kong porridge and the fragrant Geylang 9 porridge? Look no further! We found it in Onn Kee Claypot Seafood Porridge Restaurant, off Jalan Imbi! This place was actually founded by accident by my family few hours before our wedding banquet starts... My in laws were sooooo busy and they happened to forget that my family was even there!!... Geez...

So my parents and my sisters walk over to the shop lots next to the wedding banquet restaurant and found yummy porridge!! Ever since then, they were hooked!! When they came over to visit me in KL, they insist to have dinner there at all cost!

Here's the 2 page menu.

Each of us got the sour chilly with garlic juice??

We only tried 2 clay pots of porridge and I personally like century egg + lean pork meat porridge the most.. The texture of the century egg is creamy and it tasted soooo sweet..

Century egg and lean pork meat porridge
皮蛋瘦肉粥

The second porridge is frog porridge which is meh to me...

Frog Porridge
田鸡粥

Each of us scoop a portion onto our bowl and you can see how creamy the porridge is...

Add sesame oil and bon appetite!

We also ordered 2 side dishes which was as tasty as the porridge

They called it, Smooth Chicken

Thai Styled Bean Curd,my favourite!!
The bean curd is crunchy and the sauce is absolutely amazing!!! Sweet. Sour. Spicy.

Us.
Makan till we sweat...

Here comes the hard to digest part...
The total damage of the meal was RM105.

The most expensive dish was actually the chicken which costs us RM30!! We also added chicken inert which costs RM2.00. So the bloody chicken chicken rounds up to RM32.00...
Smoooooth price... =_=

The porridge price varies with the amount of people eating... The porridge costs RM8 per pax... So, since we had 2 claypot porridge and we have 6 of us, so each porridge costs RM24.00...

The bean curd is really cheap and costs RM15.00...
The condiments are not free too!! They actually cost RM2.00...
And a pot of chinese tea costs us RM8.00

Bloody expensive, But ok la... Since the food is nice and my family is happy,
it's all worth it...
