Spicy Honey Chicken

Cooking sweet dishes is not my forte... I tend to fail all sorts sweet dishes and I made this a tint too sweet this time... Well, it's still acceptable and I improvised this dish to make it a lil' spicy by adding chilli flakes... Well, I love things spicy and the chilli flakes in the bottle is so tempting... I also added salt to tune the flavour so it doesn't feel like we're having dessert...

Honey Chicken is really easy to make... It's a two step cooking and took me about 15 minutes to get it done...

Here's the recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
- 500g of chicken fillet
- sesame seeds
- 4 cloves of garlic and minced them
- cooking oil for frying

Marinade:
- a generous dash of pepper
- 1 tsp of sesame oil
- 1 tbs of Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbs of chilli flakes
- 4 tbs of corn flour

Sauce:
- 2 tbs of honey
- 2 tbs of light soya sauce
- 2 tbs of hot water
- 5 drops of dark soy sauce

Steps:
- Rinse the chicken fillet and cut them into bite size pieces
- Pat them dry and mix well with marinate ingredients. Leave them in the fridge for at least 1 hour
- Once it's sufficiently marinated, add cooking oil into a pan and heat it.
- Once the oil is hot enough, add the sliced chiken into the pan piece by piece and fry till golden.
- Pat them with a kitchen towel and set aside
- In a bowl, place minced garlic and add the sauce ingredient. Mix well.
- Heat up a clean pan and add fried chicken slices in as well as the sauce ingredient.
- Cook them in medium heat until the sauce is caramelized.
- Scoop them up and sprinkle sesame seeds and it's ready to serve!
